Tabea Bucher-Koenen is Senior Researcher at the Munich Center for the Economics of Aging at the Max-Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy in Munich, Germany. She is Head of the research unit Health and Life and her areas of research are social policy, household finance and health economics. She is member of the international working group on financial literacy funded by the Netspar theme grant "Financial Literacy: Evidence and Implications for Retirement Planning, Saving Behavior, and Financial Education Programs." She holds a PhD in economics from the University of Mannheim.
