I received my PhD in Economics and Management in 2011 from the University of Padua (Italy). Following that, I completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Max Planck Institute of Economics in Germany from 2011 to 2013. Between 2013 and 2016, I worked as an Assistant Professor at Lund University in Sweden.
My research explores the emergence of the early gender wage gap in the labor market, the role of social norms in shaping career choices for men and women, and the short- and long-term effects of affirmative action policies. In the past, I also investigated how monetary and non-monetary incentives interact with individual preference heterogeneity. My work primarily employs experimental economics methodologies.
The findings of my research have been published in several international journals, including the European Economic Review, Journal of Risk and Uncertainty, Journal of Law, Economics, and Organization, Experimental Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Journal of Economic Psychology, and PLOS ONE. Additionally, I serve as an Associate Editor for the Italian Economic Journal.
